snow day (or... ice day)

I like snow- it's really the only thing that makes winter worth it to me. It's pretty. And Ben especially likes it when it cancels school for the day. He also really enjoys playing in the snow- sometimes I worry he will wind up like Casper and play in the snow too long (and then dwell in an old creepy mansion as a friendly ghost amongst his grumpy ghost uncles...hope not). It's been cold for a while, so part of the river froze over a while ago. So, Ben and Nick quickly took advantage of that. (And even wore ridiculous life jackets to prove to us how "safe" they were being).
Now, the snow (and ice) has come. And that is fine with me, as long as a heavy ice-laden branch doesn't fall on the power lines. (We tend not to be high on the electric company's list of places to come promptly repair).

Can you tell I like this window?
The playground is covered in ice.

supposedly, i guess...casper played in the snow too long with a new sled his dad bought for him.
although, does anyone actually come back to check my response to a comment?
